WHEN: May 21st, 12pm-1:30pm

WHERE: Galveston Island WIC Clinic at the Island Community Center, 4700 Broadway

WHAT: “HOW TO SAUTE & MAKE PAN GRAVY!” Free cooking class led by Chef Mary Bass where we learn how to make the perfect pan-seared chicken, a blueberry barbecue sauce, saute a ton of vegetables and scarf down a blueberry parfait for dessert! Students eat a fresh meal for lunch and gain versatile cooking knowledge! RESERVE YOUR SPACE BELOW OR CALL THE TEXAS CITY WIC OFFICE AT (409) 938-7221. GOFM hosts a FREE cooking class exclusively for WIC clients every 3rd Tuesday at local WIC clinic locations. Note: GOFM hosts several classes all year-round that are open to anyone; these “Learn to Cook!” series are for WIC clients only.

Classes focus on developing basic cooking skills, increasing nutrition knowledge and maximizing flavor in your diet with a small budget & good health in mind.
