Donations, Friends, and sponsorships

In order to sustainably ensure GOFM’s longevity, diverse sources of funding are essential. We rely on local & national philanthropy, revenue from fundraising events & donations from our community.

Money that comes from our own community empowers us to make Galveston better by transforming community health. Your donations help us provide good food to all folks & connect all folks through good food.

Here are some examples of how your contributions fuel our operations:

• $5 given every month buys all the ingredients needed for one Cooking Class.

• $50 given every month buys all the seeds needed for the entire school year at 4 Young Gardener Program sites.

• $5,000 given once a year helps pay the salary of our Market Manager who keeps the weekly market running, rain or shine.

All contributions (of any dollar value) are tax-deductible. Receipts are happily provided on request.  You can choose to:

• make a one-time donation,

• become a Member of the Friends of GOFM,

• become a sponsor of GOFM with a contribution of $1,500 or more!
